Enroll Your Child at Woodland School

At Woodland School, we believe in the power of a well-rounded education. We offer a unique learning environment that combines multi-age classrooms, outdoor learning, and exposure to the fine arts. Our school, established in 1996 in Traverse City, MI, could be the best place for your child.

We know that choosing a school is an important decision. For more information and a tour of our campus, please attend one of our open house events.  

• Open House Events: Come at your convenience to talk to our staff and tour the school.

Our Enrollment Process

As a public charter school, enrollment is available to everyone. For available openings, we conduct a lottery to determine placement within our program. To participate in the lottery, you must submit a completed enrollment application form by midnight two days before the event. The lottery is held each March, offering an equal opportunity for all prospective students.

• Enrollment Lottery: The lottery for fall 2025 will take place on Friday, March 14, 2025. Any enrollment applications submitted after Wednesday, March 12, 2025, will be placed on a waitlist for potential openings.  Waitlists do not rollover from year to year, therefore an enrollment application needs to be submitted for each year you would like to be included in the lottery.
